John Harleston
John Harleston is a graduate of the University of Virginia (B.A. 1976) and the University of South Carolina School of Law (J.D. 1981). Mr. Harleston's practice focuses on copyrightsand trademarks, as well as licensing and franchising, contracts, and small businesses. Mr. Harleston has also dealt with construction defect complaints, environmental
regulations, and other issues.
From 1987 to 1995, Mr. Harleston practiced law with Taft, Stettinius & Hollister in Cincinnati, Ohio. From 1981 to 1987, Mr. Harleston was a staff attorney with the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control.
Kathleen M. Harleston
Kathleen M. Harleston has been a registered patent attorney since 1989. Her practice focuses on intellectual property law, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights. Ms. Harleston was formerly Senior Counsel-Patents for The Procter & Gamble Company, where she worked for seven years. Ms. Harleston holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law (1987), and Master of Science (1976) and Bachelor of Science (1974) degrees from Clemson University. Before law school, she worked at the South Carolina Department of Health & Environmental Control, and as a chemist at Westvaco Corporation.
